A journey through the pyramids - A brief history of their evolution

 

The pyramidal typology has undergone over the course of about 1000 years in which these buildings were built an evolution in the models, in the structure and in the materials in search of the model that best responds to the symbolic prerogatives that had inspired them, compatibly with the methods available, of the knowledge and society. This evolution is illustrated through the analysis of the 10 pyramids which seem to have constituted as many fundamental steps in an attempt to reach this optimal compromise.
